About Me
Hi, I'm Bia, the maker behind Colored Art From Heart. 🤍
I was born in Romania and now live in the UK.
I studied Law and spent six years working in the legal field before life slowly rearranged itself in a way that allowed me to pursue one of my oldest dreams: creating with my hands.
If I were to trace the beginning of that dream, I would have to travel back to the early 2000s, to a cosy little house in a mountain village in Romania.
On cold winter evenings, my mother would sew. My grandmother would crochet. And I would sit nearby, turning leftover fabrics and yarn into tiny clothes for my dolls.
In the summer, I spent hours outdoors drawing, painting and inventing little projects of my own. Creating wasn't something I learned later in life. It was simply part of home.
As I grew older, life carried me towards bigger cities, busier streets and a much faster pace. Yet somewhere deep down, I always longed for a simpler life. One that felt closer to nature, slower, quieter and more connected to the things that truly matter to me.
Two years ago, my husband and I left the hustle and bustle of London and moved to a small town in the heart of Kent, surrounded by forests and countryside.
Something changed there.
Between slow mornings, coffee in the garden, planting flowers and learning to enjoy a gentler rhythm of life, I found myself missing the creative activities that had filled my childhood.
So I picked them up again.
What surprised me most was how much I still remembered. The stitches, the techniques, the little tricks I had watched the women in my family use so many years before.
And that is how Colored Art From Heart began.
Every piece I create carries a little part of that story. Whether I am sewing, embroidering, crocheting or designing something entirely new, my goal is always the same: to create something thoughtful and made to be cherished.
More than anything, this little business is my way of carrying forward the skills, patience and love for handmade work that were passed down to me by the women in my family.
And with every order I send, I feel a small sense of gratitude, knowing that something created with my own hands will become part of someone else's story.
Thank you for being here and for supporting my little handmade corner of the world. 🎀
